Court-Mandated Cognitive Skills Training
ViewPoints Psychotherapy is pleased to announce that we are now offering individual and group cognitive skills training that adheres to current and up-to-date curriculum approved by most courts and the Department of Corrections for cognitive skills training. Our curriculum utilizes Strategies for Self-Improvement and Change (SSC), which address both criminal conduct and substance use treatment frequently mandated for individuals who are on parole and probation. SSC provides a cognitive behavioral model that aims to reduce recidivism by granting participants the opportunity to reflect on past behavior while gaining insights on how decisions impact our behavior. It helps to identify problematic behaviors such as criminal conduct and/or the use of alcohol and other drugs and provides an enjoyable approach to learning the wide range of thoughts and behaviors associated with responsible living.
